Instituting The Section

General Overview:

Mathematics Department has been one of  the basic scientific departments of Women's College of Education in Jeddah since 1394 AH when it was incorporated in the first year with the Department of Physics. Then began the Bachelor of Science – Education,  Major/Mathematics in 1396 AH.  The first group of graduates with this major was in 1399 AH. The department continued to lead its role and many of its graduates continued their higher studies. Now the number of those with M.S. degrees are seventy-four, while Ph.D. holders are forty.

After the decision to affiliate the college with King Abdul-Aziz University in 1429 AH, we began to implement the study plan of the College of Science- Department of Mathematics in the university. At the beginning of the current academic year, Department of Statistics and Computer Unit separated and became independent departments.
